Kenya has an altitude and climate similar to its northern neighbor Ethiopia and is one of the leading coffee producing countries in Africa. Its acidic soil topography provides excellent growing conditions for Arabica. Normally the fruit of the coffee plant contains two seeds. Only one out of two seeds is fertilized in a Peaberry. This single seed becomes an oval known as a Peaberry. Peaberry coffees are particularly associated with Tanzanian and Kenyan beans.
